How it works:
As with all emerging technologies, there are many pretenders. Polymers for road stabilization, is a unique, high-
performance elastomers. The versatility of polymers is due to their distinctive molecular structure, which can be precisely
controlled and tailored to perform in specific applications.
They also can provide formulation flexibility in commonly used thermoplastic processing technology. These polymers can be compounded to produce
materials, which can improve the strength and emodulus of marginal aggregates for road stabilization and construction.

Nkomati haul roads are traversed by fully laden 300ton dumper trucks. The only material available on the mine was normal waste materials. Sample materials
were taken to labs for testing. Using different combinations of the mines aggregates, mixed with polymers, the * Third generation macro stabilizers.
With reference to the tests completed at Nkomati Mine, Badplaas, South Africa. All tests reports from the mine were submitted over a period of 4 months for
study.
